Bally Bet Sportsbook Review - Overview

Bally Bet is a part of the Bally's Corporation, a gaming and entertainment company which was founded in 2004 under the name 'BLB Investors'. Over the last 20 years, Bally's has dipped its toes into a variety of businesses including casinos, online bingo — and even broadcasting live sporting events thanks to a partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Bally Bet has been a player in the online sports betting space since 2021, when it launched its first app in Colorado. It transitioned to its current platform — with Kambi and White Hat gaming providing its technology — in 2023.

Bally Bet Welcome Bonus

Bally Bet Colorado Bonus

Bally Bet's welcome bonus offers $150 in bonus bets if a new user makes a $50 bet.

That offer comes with a few notable conditions:

  • The initial wager from the user must come in at $50 or more and multiple bets reaching that value do not qualify.
  • The minimum odds for that bet is -120
  • The bonus bets will be given as three $50 tokens and expire if they are not wagered within seven days.
  • The bonus bet tokens are not eligible to be used on parlays, only single bets.

Those conditions are somewhat restrictive, but the upside of this welcome bonus is that it does not carry an onerous playthrough requirement. If a player wins with any of their bonus bets those winnings are added to their balance, and they can withdraw funds without having to make additional wagers.

Bally Bet Loyalty Program

Sports bettors hoping their Bally Bet accounts will come with an extensive loyalty program that will give them rewards for sticking with the sportsbook are going to be disappointed.

While Bally has a rewards program associated with its online casino the online sportsbook doesn't have an equivalent system. New Bally Bet users will benefit from a welcome bonus and there are odds boosts that can enhance profits on a day-to-day basis, but there is no feature incentivizing continued betting with Bally Bet.

Overall Experience

The overall experience with bonuses and promotions on this sports betting app seems to be largely negative. Many users felt deceived and referred to the app as a scam due to these unfulfilled promises.

Restrictions on Bonuses

The restrictions on the use of bonuses also received criticism. Users were frustrated that bonuses could only be used on straight bets and not on parlays, which they felt limited their betting options.

Positive Experiences

A few users (around 20%) did acknowledge receiving their bonuses and found the app worth using despite its flaws. However, these positive experiences were overshadowed by the majority of negative reviews.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the app needs to address these issues to improve user satisfaction, particularly in terms of delivering promised bonuses.

Bally Bet Sportsbook Review: User Experience

null

The Bally Bet sportsbook is relatively easy to navigate thanks to a clean and accessible interface.

However, the homepage has a couple of redundancy issues as its 'popular events' and 'trending events' contain many of the same odds and its boosts are advertised at the top and bottom of the page.

It's not difficult to find what you're looking for, but it isn't the most elegant design. There are a few elements that could've found a home on the main landing page but do not.

Bally Bet's Pick Videos

Many the best sportsbooks offer some kind of sports betting content that gives users advice and suggests bets based on statistical analysis.

The way this manifests itself on Bally Bet is different than it is for a number of its competitors that focus on written articles.

Bally Bet, on the other hand, provides bettors with a scrolling list of suggested bets accompanied by short videos from experts explaining the rationale behind each wager. These picks tend to suggest parlays, but some of them are relatively modest two-leg bets rather than exotic longshots.

Bally Sports Live Streaming

Considering Bally is in the sports broadcasting business thanks to its partnership with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, it's somewhat surprising that they don't offer any live streaming options on Bally Bet app, or at the online sportsbook.

You can live stream games with the Bally Sports app but not with the sportsbook. For now, the company seems to be keeping those arms of its business separate. Because of its parent company's live sports interests, Bally Bet would be a logical candidate to stream events live, but that hasn't been the case yet.

In terms of live betting, Bally Bet has all the options most modern sportsbooks offer. Customers who prefer to place in-game wagers will have no shortage of opportunities to do so.

Creating an Account at Bally Bet Sportsbook

Opening an account with Bally Bet is a relatively simple five-step process. In order to sign up, you need to do the following:

  1. Provide your name and email address
  2. Enter your name, birthday and phone number
  3. Provide your address
  4. Give the last four digits of your SIN number
  5. Offer confirmations on whether the information you've provided the online sportsbook is accurate.

This should take only a couple of minutes. After this process new users will have an account that will allow them to deposit money and make your first wager.

Bally Bet App Review

Bally Bet Apps

The Bally Bet app, available for both IOS and Android devices, closely mirrors the desktop presentation. Its primary differentiator is the way customers are able to personalize their homepage based on their own betting interests.

This app is not difficult to navigate for those with a familiarity with sportsbook apps in general, or Bally Bet in particular.

The mobile experience does not distinguish itself from its competitors in a meaningful way, but gives the customers the functionality they are looking for.

Is Bally's Sportsbook App Safe?

Bally's brand has been active in the gaming space for a long time, making it a credible operator despite the fact Bally Bet is a relatively new sportsbook.

Online Sports Betting Markets at Bally Bet

Not every bettor is looking for the same sports betting market, but it's fair to say that Bally Bet provides access to the majority of leagues of interest to the average American bettor.

Much like most other sites of its ilk, Bally Bet provides the option for its customers to wager on futures, individual matches, prop bets, and live bets.

Bally Bet may has a dedicated page for events that are live at any given moment, which is a helpful resource for those who prefer to focus on live betting.

Sports Leagues to Bet On at Bally Bet

Bally Bet is a sportsbook where you can easily wager on North America's major sports, but it has options for those with more niche interests as well. Using the Bally Bet site or the sports betting app, you can bet on 31 different sports ranging from table tennis to Aussie rules football.

There's also depth within individual sports like soccer, as you can bet on games from 44 different countries using your Bally Bet account. Some of those countries have odds displayed for multiple different leagues, allowing you to place wagers on all kinds of matches.

Bet Types Available at Bally Bet

Bally Bet offers an extensive range of bet types, allowing its users to engage with sports betting in whichever way they see fit. The online sportsbook has a 'Sports Betting 101' page that explains some of the basic types of bets it takes including moneylines, point spreads, over/unders, player props, and more.

The Bally Bet website also features plenty of options for parlays including pre-packaged specials, same-game parlays, and cross-sport parlays.

Bally Bet In-Play Betting

Using Bally Bet's live-betting page it's easy to identify which games are going on at any given moment, whether they are matches in major leagues or more obscure events.

Bally Bet also directs users to events that are coming up soon so they'll be aware of in-play betting opportunities on the horizon.

The sportsbook provides a solid user interface for live betting that includes detailed statistics to help players make informed wagers.

Bally Bet's Odds Boosts

Many Colorado sportsbooks have odds boosts daily, but Bally Bet deserves credit for its compelling offerings in this area.

Its boosts feature variety in terms of both the sports included and the nature of the bet. For example, on one day we checked Bally Bet had the following offerings:

  • A cross-sport parlay boosted from +910 to +1045
  • An MLB NRFI parlay boosted from +570 to +655
  • A combined WNBA player prop boosted from +150 to +175
  • A PGA top-20 finish parlay boosted from +765 to +880
  • Two tennis futures bets, one boosted from +600 to +690 and another from +350 to +400

While some direct users to longshot parlays, there are also more modest wagers that have smaller payouts and a better probability to hit.

Bally Bet's Parlay Options

Sportsbooks tend to display suggested parlays extremely prominently and Bally Bet is no exception. While these parlays tend to pay out generously, they are also immensely profitable for sportsbooks because they rarely hit.

Bally Bet has a 'popular parlays' carousel near the top of its page offering suggested wagers with significant payouts, some of which approach +2000.

Users can make their own judgements about whether these are advisable bets or not, but their prominence on Bally Bet is notable even if it isn't surprising.

Mixed Market Coverage Reviews

The sports betting app has received mixed reviews regarding its market coverage. A significant number of users appreciate the accuracy of the information provided on various games, including college NBA and others. However, there are several areas of concern that have been highlighted by users.

Live Game Parlay Bets Issue

One of the main issues is the inability to place live game parlay bets. Users have reported that the app often indicates that odds have changed after they attempt to place a bet, causing them to repeatedly try to place the bet without success. This is in contrast to other apps like DraftKings and FanDuel, which lock the odds and the bet.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while the app does provide accurate information on various games, it falls short in areas such as live game parlay betting, use of bonuses and free bets, and withdrawal processing times. These issues have led some users to advise others to stay away from the app, stating that it is not competitive with other sports betting apps.

This Mickey mouse sportsbook is so horrible and sports bettor should stay away from this app. You'll never be able to place live game parlay bet. After clicking place bet. it will load for couple seconds and tell you odds has changed making you constantly press place bet over and over constantly and will never place your bet whereas draftkings and fanduel just locks the odds and your bet. Your bonus/free bet can't be used on parlay either.

Horrific sports betting app. Says that withdraws should be in your account within 30 minutes. Still not arrived 48 hours later. The bet $50 get $200 is valid. but you can only use the free bets for single bets. NO parlays. You would think they would encourage parlays because of a lower probability of winning. Overall. this app is not close to being competitive with any of the other books. Stay away. it's not worth it.

Bally's Sportsbook Odds and Lines

null

Bally Bet's odds and lines can be found on the main page of their sportsbook.

The odds provided are worth shopping against other sportsbooks. The current industry standard for vig — or the house's edge — ranges between 3.66% and 4.61% depending on the bet type.

At Bally Bet, the lines can be on the higher end of that spectrum, with the highest we found sitting at 5.14%.

Odds and Pricing

After analyzing the reviews, it is clear that the sports betting app has a mixed reputation when it comes to odds and pricing. While some users find the odds competitive, a significant number of users have expressed dissatisfaction with the odds, stating that they are worse compared to other platforms like DraftKings or Caesars.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while the app does have some positive aspects, such as competitive odds and useful game information, the overall user experience is marred by slow withdrawals, restrictive bonuses, and technical issues. Improvements in these areas could greatly enhance the user experience.

The app seems to forget my biometric login frequently. Their odds are fairly competitive. My biggest problem is if you win even a small amount of money on single bets they will quickly limit you to laughably small amounts. sometimes under $5 even. The majority of users express dissatisfaction with the withdrawal process, describing it as slow and inefficient. Many users report waiting for days, and in some cases weeks, for their withdrawals to be processed, which is significantly longer than the industry standard.

Bally Bet Customer Support

Whether they are engaging with this sportsbook on the Bally Bet sportsbook app or the Bally Bet website, users can find help with a variety of issues via a live chat or email.

In our evaluation of Bally Bet's customer support, we derived the following learnings:

  • Speed and Effectiveness: Bally Bet generally responded quickly to inquiries, but there were a couple of occasions where live chats were sluggish.
  • Live Chat: Live chat is the primary avenue Bally Bet directs its users to in order to solve their issues. This service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Agent Interaction: To get a better sense of how Bally Bet's customer support functions, we conducted a ‘day in the life’ test, initiating live chats during four different hours. Each hour slot received five separate chat messages from us.

Here’s a snapshot of our findings:

Time (ET)Average Wait Time
9:00

4 minutes and 54 seconds

12:005 minutes and 11 seconds
17:008 minutes and 01 seconds
21:006 minutes and 08 seconds
  • Social media: While some sportsbooks offer customer support via social media, Bally Bet doesn't seem to interact with customer concerns in that way. There a Bally Bet Support account on Twitter, but it has been inactive in recent years and does not appear to be a good method for reaching the sportsbook.

Other channels are used to circulate sports content instead of engaging with users on their experiences with the sportsbook.

Bally Sports Betting Support Options

Users requiring support from Bally Bet have a number of choices. They can use the sportsbook's 24/7 Live Chat, contact them at support@ballybet.com, or check out a 'help center' that functions as an FAQ section broken up by state.

One thing that separates Bally Bet from some of its competitors is that it does not advertise a customer support phone line for users to call. Whether bettors prefer to live chat or speak over the phone comes down to personal preference, but some online sportsbooks offer more options.

Betting Responsibly at Bally Bet

null

Bally Bet has a basic set of responsible gambling tools that are relatively common for at top sportsbooks. Like most sports betting sites, Bally Bet has deposit limits, spending limits, and short-term cool-off periods to help bettors take a break and prevent their gambling from becoming a problem.

At Bally Bet's responsible gambling page there are also links to various resources for those looking for help with their problem gambling

In Colorado these include the Problem Gambling Coalition of Colorado, the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG), and Gamblers Anonymous.

FeatureDescription
Set Deposit LimitsUsers can set limits on how much they can deposit to control spending.
Timeout FeatureAllows for temporary self-exclusion, ranging from 3 days to a year.
Adjusting LimitsUsers can modify their limits, with a cooldown period for any increases to encourage thoughtful changes.
Educational ResourcesOffers information on responsible gambling practices.
Addiction Help CentersProvides contact details and links to gambling addiction support services.

Setting Bet Limits with Bally

One of the tools available to encourage responsible betting is a spending limit option that allows users to create daily, weekly, and/or monthly limits for their betting, which helps ensure they will have a safer experience with the Bally Bet sportsbook or sports betting app.

How Does Bally Bet Benefit Experienced Bettors?

Bally Bet's interface and user experience will feel familiar to bettors who have used other market leaders, which should allow them to get comfortable with this sportsbook relatively quickly.

While experienced bettors have differing likes and dislikes when it comes to their wagering preferences, Bally Bet has a few features that could enhance their experience.

Two features best used by more sophisticated bettors are the 'right now' and 'starting soon' tabs at the top of book's homepage, which allows easy access to live betting possibilities. Live betting can be a profitable, but it is also a way for inexperienced users to lose money quickly.

The picks tab is also probably best explored by betting veterans who feel well-equipped to evaluate the advice of Bally Bet's experts and decide whether they want to pursue their suggested bets.

Mike made the decision to dive headfirst into the booming world of sports betting fresh out of college. Back in the day, when 1-800 pick lines and sports pagers were all the rage, he couldn't resist the allure, having grown up idolizing sports legends like Sweetness, MJ, and Slammin Sammy. Mike dedicated his early years to the industry, tirelessly analyzing games, writing articles with free picks, and selling his expertise on reputable handicapping sites. Unlike many others, Mike was known for his integrity and only released one Game of the Year per sport, per season. His hard work and unwavering commitment paid off, earning him a devoted following and propelling his career to new heights. Then came the explosion of Daily Fantasy Sports. Believe it or not, companies like DraftKings and FanDuel used to pay Mike's company to increase their brand exposure. Now, those same industry giants don't even bother responding to his emails. While Mike appreciates the convenience of being able to place legal bets in his own backyard, he can't help but feel disheartened by what has become of the industry. People are being led astray, falsely believing that a mere $5 wager on a 20-team same-game-parlay will be their ticket to financial security. If there’s one thing Mike learned from making book back in the day, it’s that parlays are a bookie’s best friend. A bankroll is the only leg you have to stand on in the battle with the books, and Mike’s here to offer up advice on how to protect it.
