Columbus, OH – RG.org, a US-based media platform and betting affiliate, proudly took part in the 2025 National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling, held from July 16–18 in Columbus, Ohio. The event, now in its 38th year, remains the oldest and largest national gathering dedicated to addressing gambling addiction and promoting responsible gambling in the United States.
The conference brought together nearly 670 participants from across the country and internationally. Experts, researchers, and frontline professionals gathered for three days of panels, workshops, and cross-disciplinary training focused on the intersection of mental health, regulation, and consumer protection.
Attendees included representatives of state gambling commissions, university researchers, addiction therapists, public health officials, and executives from major sports betting operators such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, and Fanatics. Also present were a growing number of companies specializing in training and education services for the gaming industry, highlighting the increasing need for accountability, transparency, and best practices in all sectors—particularly in digital betting and affiliate marketing.
RG.org was represented at the conference by Sergey Demidov, the company’s Head of News and Public Relations. Demidov participated in several networking and policy sessions and used the opportunity to engage in productive conversations with regulators, researchers, and platform operators.
“I had the opportunity to meet many interesting and committed people at the conference,” said Demidov.
“These conversations were not only insightful for me personally, but they were also extremely valuable for RG Media. As a company, we believe that responsible gambling isn’t just a regulatory checkbox—it’s a shared responsibility between players, operators, and affiliates. We have a duty to help ensure the industry grows in a healthy, transparent, and player-focused direction.”
The conference also gave RG.org an important opportunity to better understand how data, outreach, and editorial efforts can support public health goals, especially as the U.S. market continues to expand rapidly across new states.
Key Themes at the 2025 Conference Included:
- The latest findings in gambling addiction research and treatment
- Innovations in self-exclusion and behavioral analytics tools
- Regulatory developments at the state and federal levels
- Ethical standards for affiliate marketing and consumer messaging
- Collaboration strategies between operators, regulators, and support providers
- The growing importance of culturally inclusive responsible gambling campaigns
As the industry continues to evolve, RG.org reaffirms its commitment to the principles of responsible gambling by supporting public education, accurate content, and increased industry collaboration.
“We are more than a media brand or traffic source,” Demidov added. “We’re part of the conversation on how to build a sustainable and player-safe future for betting in America.”
