The undefeated featherweight prospect Cam Teague is gearing up for the biggest opportunity of a lifetime when he steps into the Octagon on Week 7 of the Contender series on September 24th at the UFC Apex.

No moment is too big for Teague, who always goes in there looking to fight the best. That’s exactly what he did in his most recent fight for Fury FC. He took on former UFC veteran Austin Lingo, whom he finished in the second in a thrilling back-and-forth affair.

Teague is a fighter who doesn’t care who is standing in front of him as he’s going to come out and fight his fight regardless of the situation.

“I’m ready for it," Teague says in a one-on-one interview with RG. "If I can compete with a guy like that and bang with him, then I can bang with anyone up there in the featherweight division, honestly. I got my shot, going to show them September 24th, because I am fighting another guy that’s pretty similar to him. Lot of knockouts, hits pretty hard, he’s not as tall as him, he’s a little shorter, but probably be the same type of fight. Work on a few things, move my head a little bit this time, we’ll see how it goes.”

With a little over a month to prepare, Teague is ready to take the world by storm. His opponent, Kevin Vallejos, was getting ready for a high-profile matchup against Paddy Pimblett's teammate Luke Riley, but visa issues forced Riley to withdraw from the bout.

Vallejos got his shot on the Contender Series last season, but he lost a hard-fought decision against Jean Silva, who surprised many at the start of his UFC career. However, Teague doesn’t care who Vallejos has fought before him because no one fights like Cam Teague.

“I’m not Jean Silva, I’m Cam Teague. It’s going to be a different fight. Just because he went the distance with that guy doesn’t mean anything to me. I think I can compete with those guys, so I’m going to prove myself and find out September 24th if I can compete with those guys.”

Teague has a ton of experience in combat sports with a long amateur background before making his pro debut. He also competed in kickboxing and won titles for multiple different organizations. If anyone is game enough to get in there and mix it up with the best fighters in the world it certainly is Cam Teague.

Cam Teague will be looking to leave it all out there on September 24th for his shot at a UFC contract and the Cam Teague show will be on full display when he goes toe-to-toe with Argentina’s Kevin Vallejos.

“Tune in, you’re going to get the Cam Teague fight like every time you get. It will be the fight of the night, and we’re gonna get that contract.”
