The competition was fierce on Tuesday morning at Joe Abunassar’s famed Impact Basketball facility in Las Vegas, as a collection of team representatives worldwide, pro personnel, and media watched CSE’s official free agent pro day.
Determined to find their next destination, with their NBA Summer League-rostered brothers encouraging them on the baseline, the group of six went through a rigorous hour-long workout with trainers to showcase their skill sets. 12 NBA teams, four teams from China, and two from Australia observed the sessions.
RG Media was in attendance for the event and gathered information on feedback.
Former Two-Way Contract Players Generating NBA Interest
Suiting up for the Boston Celtics currently, Isaiah Wong is coming off a championship season with Zalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and Euroleague. He played in a career-high 20 games for the Charlotte Hornets last season on a two-way contract, shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc.
RG has learned that Wong and his representation have had productive conversations with the Utah Jazz, the organization with which he spent training camp last season before being waived in early October.
A fellow former two-way contract player, Izaiah Brockington wowed the crowd with his athleticism, drive-and-kick game, and shooting ability. The 6-foot-4 guard spent multiple seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans and their G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, before he was dealt to the San Diego Clippers. Brockington finished a strong season in the G League and suited up for the Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League to follow.
Brockington is on the Clippers’ summer league roster and will be committing to the G League United Camp in Sacramento, RG has learned.
What’s Next For The Seasoned Vets?
A 32-year-old veteran with a plethora of experience between the NBA, G League and international levels, Chasson Randle was a pivotal part of the 2024 G League Champion Stockton Kings as a knockdown shooter.
Just weeks afterward, he went on to play for APR Kigali of the Basketball Africa League, becoming the first player in history to play in the G League and BAL back-to-back. Randle is generating interest from teams in Asia.
Andrew Andrews, another 32-year-old, has played for eight years internationally and was a part of the BC Wolves last season in the LKL. Multiple teams in Europe and Asia are interested in the veteran guard. China could be a landing spot for him.
Andrews’ former teammate at BC, Garrison Brooks, is a 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man carrying previous experience with the Westchester Knicks. Brooks is generating NBA training camp interest, while teams in the G League, Europe, and Asia have contacted his representation.
Pedro Bradshaw, a 6-foot-7 guard with a 40% career three-point shooting percentage across three years of G League experience, played in Germany and Australia last season with the Rostock Seawolves in the BBL and Cairns Taipans in the NBL. Similar to Brooks, he has received NBA training camp interest and communicated with teams in Europe and Asia.
